Nutrition Supplements Do Not Treat Diseases

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), nutrition supplements are not intended to treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate disease. The FDA allows nutrition supplements to claim which structures and functions they support.  Since drugs and surgery do not cure disease, it makes sense to use nutrition supplements to support the structures and functions of optimal living in healthy people. The bottom line is that health nutrition supplements that are scientifically formulated significantly reduce the risk by supporting structures and functions for daily living. Nutrition supplements give us more control over our lives so we can live the promise of a more vibrant life.
